Mikaya was trying to get into the apple pie

he was caught with his hands on it! LOL

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Well the bird was stuffed and eating, the pies were cooked and cut, and now everyone is sleeping:) Mike goes in at 2 am! At noon there were 4 tents up at Best Buy, people sure look for a bargain. Briana and I made our pies Wednesday night, we got our apples at McQueens apple farm and also made a pumpkin pie. It took us 3 hours but we got it all done. It is so hard to bake with M & M, they are into everything. We had to put all the chairs/highchairs out front as they use these as stepping stools to get to the countertops or the dining room table. When that doesn't work they use the drawers to get on top. It is always something around here. While I had the turkey cooking, Mikaya always tries and opens the oven so I always latch it so it locks, not realizing that it shuts the oven off! So the turkey had to cook an extra hour and a half! good thing we didn't have any guests coming as we ate 2 hours later. The kids really enjoyed the food this year. I made turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed and sweet potatoes, corn and bisquits, and had pie and cranberry sauce. M & M are following in mommy and daddy's footsteps and had ketchup with the turkey. Briana loved the pie and said she was thankful for mommy and daddy and her brother and sister. We count our blessing this holiday season and are so thankful for our children, our marriage, and our health.

Trick or Treat

Halloween

Well Mikaya and Mackenzie were very excited to go trick or treat! they actually kept their hats on! Mikaya was wondering why he was just up like a polar bear and Mackenzie kept eating her tail! she was a whitte bengal tiger! and oh so cute! Unfortunately they were stuck in the stroller the entire time. It is to hard to have them noth out walking as they go in the opposite directions. So next year will be there year! Mikaya picked out his trick or treat basket and would get upset if I didn't take it up to a house to get candy in it. What in the world was I thinking to get them a costume that was white! good thing the chocolate came out! They trick or treated for about an 1 1/2 and loved it. The loved seeing the decorations, and the kids running around the neighbor hood, and we had such great weather, it was in the 60's didn't even need a coat, and luckily there costumes were very warm.

Briana on the other hand loved being tinkerbell, and for some reason she is at an age where she doesn't want her picture taken! LOL. It is so hard because I feel like i have to bribe her all the time, to get a good picture. She loved it this year! She was very polite and loved being able to choose what candy she could get, alot of people let her pick 1-2 pieces! Half way through we had to come back home and get her tennis shoes as her feet were sore from the tinkerbell shoes, I wonder why they make these so uncomfortable year after year. This is the last time we will buy em. At least Mackenzie will have some good costumes to choose from, hopefully she will be into the princesses like Briana.
