What a long month it has been!

We did manage to go to the mall and trick or treat, but there were way to many people there but the kids have fun. Trick or treat is tomorrow so we will be pumpkin caraving and that will be fun. here are some photos at the mall. Briana is tinkerbell, Mikaya is a polar bear, and Mackenzie is a white tiger.

Well what a long month it has been. Who would have thought that since Briana started preschool we would be dealing with sickness of 1 or all 3 of the kids. Briana started off with a cold, runny nose, fever, then she went to the Dr's and found out she had a double ear infection :(. From there it went to a cough and it got passed along to Mikaya and Mackenzie. Mackenzie had it the worst, she couldn't sleep due to all the nasal drainage that woke her up and caused her to vomit at night, after a few days of tghis I took her to the Dr's to find out she had an ear infection, she was put on an antibiotic, Mikaya was also having drainage from his ears so i called the ent, the nurse said to use his eardrops for 5 days and that should clear his ears up. So we treated both of them. After 5 days of drops his ears werer still draining, so i called the ent again, and he said that the tubes were working and that i should NOT use the drops. I told him I was confused because his office told me TO use the drops. He said to keep an eye on the drainage, so I did. Briana's cough continued to get worse, her nose continued to run, and Mackenzie continued to cough. Let's just say this led to no sleep for mom. The were not eating well, sleeping well, and getting to bed way to late. I took the kids in for a recheck and there 18 month check up to find out that the Dr did not put Mackenzie on the right dosage of antibiotics. And the funny thing is I noticed that but thought he must not have prescribed a high dosage because the ear infection wasn't to bad, well i was wrong. He gave her only 1 tsp instead of 2 1/2 so a waste of treatment, only to find out that it had gotten worse and was now in BOTH ears! Mikaya was still having the drainage and had ear infections in both ears. that they were infected so bad that there was puss around the tubes. The Dr said they both probably arent' hearing to well, sounds like they are underwater and that could be why there speech has not really flourished within the last month. Currently they say mama, dada, dog, woof, moo, etc. But i guess sounds don't count as speech. So they are both on another dosage of antibiotics and Mikaya ear drops, we will go back and see how they have gotten in 10 days. Briana is finally starting to feel better. She has finally been sleeping with no coughing, but guess what, Mackenzie has got another cold, so back to her coughing at night and to top it all off she is teeting which attributes to the draining. During this time I got something going on with my voice, could hardly talk without sounding like a frog! LOL. I felt fine just a little tired. We all got our flu shots and are hoping for a SICK FREE month. Everyone keeps telling me, well this is building up there immunity, well let me just say that it SUCKS!
